You are here: Home \ Publications \ Worklessness and business: towards a detailed understanding
This presentation builds on one delivered by Paul Miller at the LGIU Seminar entitled 'Tackling Worklessness' in April 2008.
The Presentation takes a detailed look at the relationship between the numbers of workless and the numbers of businesses. It argues that this relationship is fundamental because the workless will remain so, until they get jobs - usually in businesses located close by.
The data shows that places vary enormously and that only by considering the characteristics of places in fine grained detail can solutions emerge.
